The people behind WKH Chartered Accountants:

Nigel Willimer FCA Senior Partner Letchworth Office nwillimer@wkhca.co.uk Nigel is a General Practitioner dealing with all aspects of auditing annual and periodic management accounts, taxation, personal financial and tax planning, business start-ups etc. He also heads up WKH’s LaterLife Security service. He was educated at Hitchin Boys Grammar School, joined Watts Knowles in 1967, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1973. Nigel became a partner of the firm on 1st January 1977, and is an impassioned advocate of WKH’s commitment to client care.

Stuart Guyton FCA Partner Letchworth Office sguyton@wkhca.co.uk Stuart’s main focuses are on business coaching, tax planning, personal financial planning, investment management and retirement planning. He qualified in 1972, having served his articles with Keens Shay Keens and joined the firm in 1975. He became a partner in 1978. Stuart is the son of Keith Guyton, a former partner in Watts Knowles, and maintains many of WKH’s community connections.

David Smyth FCA Partner Royston Office dsmyth@wkhca.co.uk David is a General Practitioner who focuses on manufacturing and leisure industry clients. Born in Royston and educated at Hitchin Boys Grammar School, David joined Watts Knowles as an articled clerk at the age of 16. He qualified in May 1977 and became a Partner in January 1981.

Peter Woodhall FCA Partner Letchworth Office pwoodhall@wkhca.co.uk Peter focuses on providing a full range of advisory and audit services to larger corporate clients. He was educated at Alleynes Boys School and subsequently graduated from Nottingham University. Peter trained at Moores Rowland in an audit environment, joining Watts Knowles as an audit manager in 1992. He became a partner on 1st January 1996.

John Sheehan FCA Partner Letchworth Office jsheehan@wkhca.co.uk As well as dealing with a wide range of owner-managed businesses, John specialises in the audit of UK companies under foreign ownership and is the firm's Audit Compliance Partner. John Sheehan was educated at Bedford Modern School and trained with Grant Thornton in Bedford. He qualified in and joined Wickham, Hunt & Co in 1987. John became a partner on 1 January 1990.

Chris Maylin FCA Partner Letchworth Office cmaylin@wkhca.co.uk Chris is a General Practitioner specialising in the provision of outsourced Finance Director services to clients both large and small depending upon their individual needs. Chris is local to North Herts and was educated at Hitchin Boys School before graduating in Accounting & Finance. Chris joined Wickham, Hunt & Co from university and qualified in 1993. He became a Partner in 1998.

Tim Maris FCA Partner Royston Office tmaris@wkhca.co.uk Tim is WKH’s agricultural expert - having qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991 whilst working in the agricultural department of Grant Thornton in Bedford and then gaining commercial experience working as a management accountant for a farming business. Uniquely among local firms, Tim’s team use the Gross Margin model of accounting to support management decisions. Tim joined Watts Knowles in August 1997 and became a Partner on 1 January 2000. Tim is a graduate of Seale Hayne Agricultural College, Newton Abbot, Devon.

Paul Marsden CTA Partner Letchworth Office pmarsden@wkhca.co.uk Paul is director of WKH’s sister company Virtual Business Source Limited which has been offering specialist support in bookkeeping, management accounting, accounting software and payroll/human resources for over 10 years. Paul joined the firm straight out of school has progressed to complete his Chartered Institute of Taxation ATII qualification. Paul became a partner on 1 January 2001.

James Price ACA Partner Letchworth Office jprice@wkhca.co.uk James is WKH’s Corporate Finance specialist – providing financial due diligence, acquisition searches, valuation work, general transaction support and audit and assurance services to clients. James is a member of the ICAEW’s Corporate Finance Faculty, and has attained the Institute’s Corporate Finance Diploma. James also has an interest in Charity clients, having served as a Treasurer for a local charity. James joined WKH in 1997 having graduated from Lancaster University where he read Economics. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001.

Stuart Hutchison FCCA Partner Letchworth Office shutchison@wkhca.co.uk Stuart is a General Practitioner dealing with all aspects of accounting and taxation and specialises in provision of personal financial planning and business planning solutions. Stuart joined the firm in 2001 having spent the previous four years working for a local firm in Bedford. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2002. Stuart became a partner on 1 January 2009.
